Hot Smoked Salmon Bagels with Kale Pesto

bagel2Kale pesto is a delicious, healthy way to enjoy those all-important greens! Factor in our omega-3 packed hot smoked salmon and you’ll have a good-for-you lunch ready in a matter of minutes!

Serves 4


  • 2 packs of RR. Spink & Sons Hot Smoked Salmon
  • 4 bagels, we like seeded or wholemeal
  • 85g pine nuts, toasted
  • 85g Parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 150ml olive oil
  • 85g kale
  • juice of 1 lemon


Put the pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, garlic, kale and lemon juice in a food processor and turn on to full power. Blend the pesto until smooth.  

With the motor still running add the oil in a steady stream to create a creamy mixture.

To serve, split the bagels and toast. Spread each bagel with the kale pesto and top with our hot smoked salmon.
