Presentation:

At RR. Spink & Sons, we love to serve our smoked trout on a chilled marble chopping board.  This ensures the trout is at the perfect temperature for serving to your guests.  We also find that a simple silver fork is the best way to pick up each slice of smoked trout.

Carriers:

If you are having a cocktail party a whole side of trout can look very enticing on the buffet.  One of the best ways for your guests to eat the smoked is on a carrier.  At RR. Spink & Sons we use a host of different carriers  to help our guests eat our fantastic trout. Here is a list of our favourites.

  • Oat cakes
  • Mini bagels
  • Rye bread
  • Cucumber rounds
  • Baked baby new potatoes

Garnishes:

Our smoked trout is fantastic on its own, but if you’d like to try some new flavour combinations , why not try a few of the following?

  • Sour cream
  • Crème fraîche
  • Capers
  • Gherkins
  • Sauerkraut
  • Caviar
  • Lemon wedges
  • Orange wedges
  • Chives
  • Black pepper
  • Pickled beetroot
  • Dill

“What a way to welcome guests to a fine feast! It’s a real winner over the festive season. ” – Scott Fraser, RR. Spink & Sons Chef
